I’ve been writing and recording music for a long time. Most the the songs have been collecting dust and cobwebs on tapes and disks in my basement. I’ve decided to re-record and/or remix many of them and put them on this web site.
Right now the songs are organized into four sections, loosely belonging to different albums in concept. Songs in “Descending From Del Mar” are more recent, and in general explore various dimensions of a romantic relationship. The “Sandia Skies” page is dedicated to my deceased wife. “They Won’t Rent You A Room In Nashville” represents my attempt to write songs that might have some commercial value in the country market, but more than likely miss the mark. “Odifery” is a mishmash of story songs, political commentary, and satire.
Many of these recordings are rough and incomplete. I’d like to eventually add bass to some of the newer recordings, and I still have ten songs in the queue to record and upload. With more time on my hands I’m continuing to write new songs. It would be fun at some point to take one or two of the better songs and see what could be done with them when recorded under the direction of a professional engineer, with a good singer and strong musicians. But, for me, this is a hobby and a lot of fun.
